Beautiful Empowered Women Depicted in Orange Splashes of Paint. In their newest collaboration Splash, street artists Fin DAC and Angelina Christina masterfully paint a trio of gorgeous women on a stretch of wall in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Created over the course of a few days, this latest mural is just one in a series of street art pieces the duo has made together featuring strong, sexy, empowered women that are often tattooed and always beautiful. Depicted elegantly in black and white, the mysterious women are surrounded by bursts of brilliant orange. The bold pattern that decorates each woman's clothes and spreads out around them in splashes of paint looks like light reflecting on the surface of water.

If you happen to be in the area and want to check it out, this mural is located on Rue Inacio Pereira da Rocha in the district of Vila Madalana, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Streetart: “Capax Infiniti” New Mural by Faith47 in Portland // USA (6 Pictures) > Design und so, Film-/ Fotokunst, Paintings, Streetstyle, urban art > faith47, mural, portland, public art, streetart. Neue Herrlichkeit von der südafrikanischen Straßenkünstlerin Faith47, die sich aktuell in Portalnd/USA aufhält, wo sie im Rahmen des “Forest For The Trees“-Projektes dieses unfassbar starke Mural namens “Capax Infiniti” (was soviel wie “Holding the Infinite”, also sowas wie das Unendliche festhalten bedeutet) an eine Häuserwand gebracht hat. Sie selbst sagt über Portland übrigens “Thanks to @ffttnw and to Portland which is the friendliest city in the world.” – die Bilder gibt es nach dem Jump: “After a series of pieces in Durban, South Africa, Faith47 is now in North America where she just wrapped up this new mural for the Forest For The Trees project.

Entitled “Capax Infiniti” (“Holding the Infinite” in Latin), the South African muralist painted this beautiful piece showing a ghostly-like woman with her back turned to us.” ___[via SAN + Faith47s Insta] Vivid LIVE: Lighting The Sails - The Spinifex Group. Before I Die…in Nola is an interesting project belonging to public installation artist and urban planner Candy Chang.

The artist managed to turn one of the walls of an abandoned house in New Orleans into a massive chalkboard where the residents can write their life-long dreams. This is also a call to action, as the first one has to do when chasing a dream is to identify it. Here is more from the project developer: “It’s about turning a neglected space into a constructive one where we can learn the hopes and aspirations of the people around us. It turns out this entire process has been a great lesson, experience, and project in itself – more on that later.

If you’re in New Orleans, stop by the corner of Marigny and Burgundy (900 Marigny St) to add your thoughts to the wall and see what matters most to your neighbors. The responses and stories from passers-by while we were installing it have already hit me hard in the heart.” Juworks. At The Table. One of the best parts of our day is working with other talents. We’ve had some ongoing projects with the design group Paperwhite Studio in New York. They have some terrific projects that they have worked on including gorgeous book design and print collateral for Washed Up. Washed Up is by Alejandro Durán – a photographer, filmmaker and poet with ties to New York and Mexico. In addition he is also an educator, currently at the International Center of Photography and the Museum of Modern Art as well as the founding director of The Digital Project. Washed Up is an ongoing project by Durán that addresses the issue of plastic pollution making its way across the ocean and onto the shores of Sian Ka’an, Mexico’s largest federally-protected reserve.

Starting in February 2010 Durán has created site specific installations which he has photographed in a way that mimics the ocean crashing onto land and creeping through the sand. For more information: info@alejandroduran.com +1 917.442.1801.
