La colección juega, por un lado, con la baraja de cartas, el palo de espadas, de tal manera que cada uno de sus títulos tiene adjudicado, a modo de número de la colección, una carta correlativa de este palo.
Y por otro, con el aspecto taurino, tal como se comprueba en los colores del diseño de cubiertas. De forma anecdótica, en la solapa, donde aparece la reseña del autor, se le toca con una montera. Por tanto, la colección tenía previsto desde su concepción que el número recayera, obviamente, en el rey de espadas, lugar reservado para el maestro Wolf Vostell. Los “espadas” precedentes han sido todos extremeños, figurando los nombres, entre otros, de Enrique Flores, Raúl Valerio, Rodolfo Franco, Antonio Orihuela, Luis Costillo, Manuel Pérez o Arturo Portillo.
