Spunta: Κιτρινόσαρκη , οβάλ σχήματος, πολύ παραγωγική, καλλιεργείται όλο το χρόνο. Kennebeck: Λευκόσαρκη, μέτρια παραγωγική, με υψηλά στερεά και πολύ καλή αποθηκευτική ικανότητα. Άλλες ποικιλίες : Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχουν αρχίσει να καλλιεργούνται στην Κρήτη νέες ποικιλίες πατάτας που κύριο χαρακτηριστικό έχουν τη μεγάλη αντοχή σε παθογόνα όπως ο περονόσπορος φύλλων και κυρίως κονδύλου, οι νηματώδεις κ.α.
