U. G. Krishnamurti

Although many considered him an "enlightened" person, Krishnamurti often referred to his state of being as the "natural state". He claimed that the demand for enlightenment was the only thing standing in the way of enlightenment itself, if enlightenment existed at all. He was unrelated to his contemporary Jiddu Krishnamurti, although the two men had a number of meetings.[1] Early life[edit] Krishnamurti was born on 9 July 1918 in Machilipatnam, a town in coastal Andhra Pradesh, India, and raised in the nearby town of Gudivada.

During the same period of his life, Krishnamurti reportedly practised all kinds of austerities and apparently sought moksha or spiritual enlightenment. He spent seven summers in the Himalayas with Swami Sivananda studying yoga and practising meditation. Quest[edit] In 1939, at age 21, Krishnamurti met with renowned spiritual teacher Ramana Maharshi. In 1941, he began working for the Theosophical Society, in C.W. The Illusion of Continuity of Thought – U.G. Krishnamurti. Quotes And Photos. Ug Krishnamurti quotes :)

This is volcanic in its nature; it's bubbling all the time--the energy, the life--that is its quality. *The Natural State is a state of great sensitivity--but this is a physical sensitivity of the senses, not some kind of emotional compassion or tenderness for others. There is compassion only in the sense that there are no 'others' for me, and so there is no separation *The knowledge creates experience, and the experience strengthens knowledge.

This is a vicious circle. *All gurus are welfare organizations providing petty experiences to their followers. *Whether you are interested in Moksha,Liberation, Freedom, Transformation, you name it, or you are interested in happiness without one moment of unhappiness, pleasure without pain, it is the same thing. *The questioner is nothing but the answers. *Nature is interested in only two things--to survive and to reproduce one like itself. Mind is a Myth. My teaching, if that is the word you want to use, has no copyright. You are free to reproduce, distribute, interpret, misinterpret, distort, garble, do what you like, even claim authorship, without my consent or the permission of anybody. U.G. "Why bother publishing my conversations. It has not helped you, and it is not going to help anybody else", said U.G. when I approached him with the idea of publishing excerpts from his conversations with the constant stream of people who go to visit him.

Despite his view on the matter, I went ahead and published the first book some years ago. This book consists of edited talks between U.G. Here at the eleventh hour is a refreshing, radical and unconventional appraisal of the entire human enterprise. There are no answers to questions like that. U.G.' The man's fearless willingness to brush aside all the accumulated knowledge and wisdom of the past is nothing short of stupendous. U.G. is a 'finished' man.
