It’s been a long week, hasn’t it? We’ve all worked hard, especially after coming off all those holidays, right? We deserve a little boost to a Saturday morning. I’m quickly realizing that as I get more and more comfortable with yeast breads, I have discovered a brand new feeling. I’ll find a recipe, actually PLAN IN ADVANCE (which is a new concept, considering I usually go off of cravings and what is available to me in the fridge…), and prep the night before. I’m usually not a sweet kind of breakfast person. So much so, that I made them twice in a week and am already planning on making them this weekend for Easter brunch. The buttermilk adds richness, but also keeps the dough from being too heavy or greasy. I've made pumpkin cinnamon rolls before but these do not compare with any cinnamon roll recipe on this earth - not even Cinnabon's are this good!! Besides the perfect amount of pumpkin in the dough, you also use pumpkin pie spice in place of ordinary cinnamon and it yields a magnificent blend of Autumn spices and flavors.

I believe the Homemade Pumpkin Spice recipe is what really carried it over the top for me. :D The dough is so light and fluffy, very easy to work with, and rises beautifully!
