Dans cette contrée, tirée tout droit du Far West et de la conquête de l'Ouest, nous pouvons y trouver le célèbre Phantom Manor de la célèbre ville minière Thunder Mesa et nous pouvons également découvrir la vie dans cette ville avec les attractions qui s'y trouvent, comme par exemple Big Thunder Mountain... Dans cet article je vais vous parler de la légende qui englobe le Phantom Manor. A savoir qu'à la sortie de ce manoir, le cimetière de Boot Hill (la colline de la botte) offre une vue magnifique sur Big Thunder Mountain, mais aussi sur un ensemble rocheux inspiré des concrétions sulfuriques entourant les geysers du Yellowstone. Another Disney regular, Eleanor Audley, played Cinderella's wicked stepmother and the fearsome Maleficent from 'Sleeping Beauty' before lending her distinctive voice to the Mansion's resident medium, Madame Leota. Marc Davis designed this part of the ballroom to feature various ghosts entering the party from a coffin and hearse outside the mansion. See Part 1 here. You’ll notice these figures are mounted to a carousel-like structure. This ship captain (not found in Marc’s concept) has a famous counterpart in Pirates of the Caribbean... the auctioneer! Legendary Disney sculptor Blaine Gibson sculpted a number of human heads for Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, etc.

There are several different versions told of the story that you see inside the Haunted Mansion.

Part of the reason is because there were several different Imagineers working on the ride, all wanting to add their own element. The storyline I'm going to inform you of was relayed to me on a Keys to the Kingdom Tour back in 2005. For me, the Haunted Mansion ride makes so much more sense now that I've heard the following storyline and explanation... The Story: Many years ago, Master Gracey and Emily were engaged, but Madame Leota was also in love with Master Gracey.
