Today, thanks to science, our views and our responses to addiction and the broader spectrum of substance use disorders have changed dramatically. As a result of scientific research, we know that addiction is a medical disorder that affects the brain and changes behavior. College Bound / Ohio Financial Aid. This program provides tuition assistance to the children and spouses of Ohio peace officers, firefighters and other safety officers who are killed in the line of duty.
Recipients may enroll for full- or part-time study at any participating Ohio postsecondary institution. Awards at independent colleges range up to $6700 per academic year.
