Pues en este caso es una alternativa de los dos programas mencionados. AppTrap funciona como una aplicación en segundo plano que podemos activar en Manzana -> Preferencias del Sistema. Una vez activado, solo tenemos que borrar una aplicación y automáticamente, AppTrap nos preguntara si queremos llevar también a la papelera los ficheros de configuración de la aplicación en cuestión y claro en el caso de que la aplicación que vayamos a borrar tenga ficheros de configuración, si no AppTrap directamente no preguntara.

Antes que podamos tener operativo un gestor de copias de seguridad como TimeMachine, que estará disponible en Leopard de serie y a partir del próximo Octubre, bueno es saber de otras alternativas para realizar backups de nuestro sistema y carpetas bajo Mac OS X Tiger como SuperDuper, SilverKeeper, Carbon Copy Cloner, Deja Vú, Synk Backup, iBackup o CrashPlan. En esta entrada veremos pues las alternativas que tenemos y sus principales características. Carbon Copy Cloner es gratuito y funciona la mar de bien: permite clonar directamente un disco en otra ubicación, las veces que he tenido que usarlo siempre me ha respondido a la perfección. Mediante él podemos hacer copias de discos enteros con lo que podremos si es el caso generar copias de seguridad de nuestro sistema al completo antes de realizar tareas que puedan ponerlo en peligro para si nos lo cargamos poder restaurarlas.

While the incompatibilities are fairly straightforward to fix, there are a couple items that will take a bit more effort to address. First, iPhoto Diet code needs to be refactored into smaller files, as the current main Applescript file has grown to more than 5000 lines, causing XCode to persistently balk at compile time.
Even if XCode 3 in Leopard supports larger Applescript files, code refactoring is a GOOD THING for code maintainability, and something I have been meaning to do for some time; the only downside is that it will take some time to retest all the code and make sure it works together from the smaller files.
