As many of you requested, Marie is sharing a little tutorial here on how she made her lampshades. When she made them she was not planning on doing a tutorial for this blog, so be sure to thank her for taking the time to write all this out. Also, for those wondering…Kara will be sharing some tutorials for her book art on her blog soon. Marie is happy to do custom orders for those that prefer buying over making! * LAMPSHADE – Hobby Lobby carries self-adhesive shades & nightlights, Target has some smaller lamps for $19 that would be perfect for this project, I’ve found some lamps & shades on Craigslist. The simpler the shape of the lamp, the easier this project will be

Cake Carrier Lamp

A few weeks ago I posted about my cake carrier lamp I made for my guest room/ studio space. Today I thought I'd show you how I put it all together. Actually it was alarmingly easy ( I say alarming because most of the time my hair brained schemes are a lot more work)

A completely renovated first apartment

http://www.desiretoinspire.net/blog/2010/8/13/a-completely-renovated-first-apartment.html what a makeover! this made me feel 'myownapartamentsick' even more than ever :) bulb-lamp is great, i also made something like that, but there were less bulbs so the effect wasn't that stunning. love the shower, look really great, also the brick wall and, what surprised me, that green tone in the bedroom. you had great ideas and you fortunately put them into effect.
We LOVE music in my house! My Grandpa was a musician, and so a love of music is not just a prerequisite to being a member of this family, but it’s in our blood! In fact, if you know me you know that I ALWAYS have a song playing in my head. It’s just how I roll! So I’ve decided to make a music wall surrounding my entertainment center. It will kill 2 birds with one stone. #1 is that it clears the clutter from all of our instruments (from Rock Band and Paper Jamz) being on the floor. #2 is the decorative side of things. http://rootsandwingsco.blogspot.com/2011/04/rock-and-roll-home-decor-vinyl-record.html
