In 2002 this Russian-born New York artist launched a greeting card company based on her life-long passion for painting. Her playful watercolors draw inspiration from nature, fashion, calligraphy, Japanese art and her native fairy tales. Masha D’yans Design strives to touch the hearts and minds all over the world, to promote beauty, abandon the mundane, greet the child within, pause and play, find a surprise, delight the senses.

Masha D`yans Watercolors 2012 Calendar (Mixed Media product) DJ Santa. Masha Dyans. In the style of Masha Dyans - these are the tight sketches of three little stories. I'll post the first set of stories today, and the next one tomorrow, etc. The objective was to create three short stories around a list of story devices we were given. Then we did a few iterations of drawings, and one final render (full color) or one spread. The frog from a previous post was part of one of the final renders. I did those in watercolor, and will post them in a few days. Masha D`yans.
