http://www.quilterscache.com/J/JapaneseLanternBlock.html Sew a Color 4 2-1/2" square to each end of a Color 2 strip, right sides together, and using, as always, a scant 1/4" seam. Press seam allowances towards the rectangle. Make two units like this.
