I’ve recently been doing a lot of work with local businesses. The one I’m working with at the moment is a house cleaning service in Brisbane, Australia. It’s very interesting to see in these sort of service markets, how a business differentiates itself. They basically all offer the same thing, your house cleaned with mopping, vacuuming, dusting and bathrooms cleaned.

What makes a good house cleaner? Well it comes down to the actual cleaner, not the business they work for. You could have a cleaning business that promises you the world, but if the actual cleaner they send to your house isn’t good at their job, or they just don’t really care about doing a good job, you won’t be happy with how they leave your house. I had a friend once tell me that the cleaner she hired through an agency was sitting on the couch when she came home. To sum it up, here’s what I would look for in a quality cleaner: Find a Location | Tokyo | Yanaka/Nezu/Sendagi/Hongo.

This area is popular among those who fancy a leisurely stroll through the folksy streets of Tokyo. The name "YA-NE-SEN" comes from the first letters of each neighborhood; Yanaka, Nezu and Sendagi. The area escaped damage from the bombing in World War II, so a sense of early 20th century culture still lingers there. The area is also characterized by many uniquely named hills and narrow alleyways. Around the vast Yanaka Cemetery Park, famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms, there stand as many as 70 temples. A flower festival attended by many tourists is held at Nezu-jinja Shrine in April and May, when its 3,000 azaleas come into blossom.

Hongo is another neighborhood in the area that offers historical charm. Directions From Narita : [Rail] 1h from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station by JR Narita Express Line.
