Build Your Career Master Plan with a Mind Map. How to Approach Writing a Resume When You're a Jack of All Trades. I'm 31. I have been a paralegal, a textbook writer, a test-prep teacher, a PR agent, an elementary school teacher, a ballet teacher, a ballet dancer, a personal trainer, a sports medicine trainer for people with disabilities, an artist's assistant, a research assistant, a museum tour guide, an office manager, and a published novelist. I have at least five up-to-date resumes at any given time that make it seem like I've only worked in one field instead of a million. I am never dishonest, and this system seems to have worked well for me so far, especially since the three jobs I have right now are AWESOME and I love my professional life. The only annoying thing is that my in-laws don't understand me, and think I should "focus" on one skill set, in spite of the fact that I earn so much money doing what I do, that I will be putting their son through graduate school next year without taking out loans.
