Io9 - We come from the future. About Saturn & Its Moons. Introduction On June 30, 2004, the Cassini spacecraft entered orbit around Saturn to begin the first in-depth, up-close study of the ringed planet and its domain.

About Saturn & Its Moons

As expected, the Saturn System has provided an incredible wealth of opportunities for exploration and discovery. With its initial four-year tour of the Saturn system complete as well as an initial two-year extended mission called the Cassini Equinox Mission, the spacecraft is conducting a second extended mission called the Cassini Solstice Mission. "We're looking at a string of remarkable discoveries -- about Saturn's magnificent rings, its amazing moons, its dynamic magnetosphere and about Titan's surface and atmosphere," says Dr. Linda Spilker, Cassini project scientist. Cassini's observations of Saturn's largest moon, Titan, have given scientists a glimpse of what Earth might have been like before life evolved. Why the "Cassini Solstice Mission? Meteorite Over Russia Originated From Apollo Asteroids - Space News

Initially, albeit wrongfully, some attributed the meteoric event to that of another celestial event that occurred on the same day: the close Earth flyby of asteroid 2012 DA14. After looking at amateur video footage, a group of researchers from Colombia were able to plot out the meteor´s trajectory through Earth´s atmosphere. Through this, they were then able to make an accurate reconstruction of the object´s orbit around the Sun. Details of the work have been published on Cornell University´s Arxiv website. Because we live in a technical age, numerous videos caught the early-morning meteor´s spectacular trail across the Russian sky. To accurately recreate the rock´s original orbit around the Sun, they used six different properties of its trajectory through the atmosphere. Dr. Salon.com. Weblyest - Home. Ultimate News Database.

Confessions of a Sociopath. I Am a Sociopath Remorse is alien to me.

Confessions of a Sociopath

I have a penchant for deceit. I am generally free of entangling and irrational emotions. I am strategic and canny, intelligent and confident, but I also struggle to react appropriately to other people's confusing and emotion-driven social cues. I was not a victim of child abuse, and I am not a murderer or a criminal. You would like me if you met me. Peter Hapak Perhaps the most noticeable aspect of my confidence is the way I sustain eye contact. I was a perceptive child, but I couldn't relate to people beyond amusing them, which was just another way for me to make them do what or behave how I wanted them to. A Chaotic Breeding Ground I was the middle child in a family with a violent father and an indifferent, sometimes hysterical, mother. Headline News Summaries, World News, and Breaking News.
