Fast Diaspora always seemed like a hyped project and my working on buddycloud channels has been keeping me busy. So when a developer friend commented that he had forked the Diaspora code and an investor friend asked me for my my opinion on the project, I donned my fanboi-proof suit and dived in to see what the buzz was about. Did it made sense to interconnect with buddycloud channels? My initial reaction was along the lines of “there’s something missing here. This doesn’t make sense”.
