Graphic-ExchanGE - a selection of graphic projects

You know Joe and his amazing detailed design as we work together on the (sold out) 2015 edition of the calendar and he designed the front cover. Every single playing card within the High Victorian deck was designed from scratch - even the Aces, Jokers, and court cards exude the grand excess of ornamentation quintessential to the Victorian era. In a word: breathtaking. Antler is a deck designed by Tom Lane, who also creates this year edition of the front cover of the letterpress calendar!

This Tobacco Brown back design features two Twin Bucks enshrined within beautiful flourishes that mimic the lush forest of Yosemite National Park. 0 Por Ciento >> Espacio web especializado en grafismo. The findings needed to be presented in a straight forward and visually stimulating way, inviting the challenge of how to present the findings in such a large volume. We chose to design a brochure resembling a coffee-table-style book, sharing the complex, detailed information in a single, accessible format. The book format and its contents also warranted more durable and long lasting materials to be used. We collated the contents using wire binding with thick board and screen-printed covers, which suited the innovative subject matter. We selected various size foldout pages for significant summary graphs to make them more engaging and provide an interactive element.”

Friday Special: Method Part 2. Design Method [column width="48%" padding="3%"]53rd San Francisco International Film Festival Design System After creating the festival design system for the 49th and 50th Festivals, The San Francisco Film Society came to us again to create an original design system for the 53rd annual San Francisco International Film Festival in 2010.

Friday Special: Method Part 2

Method had a broad range of design concepts, and working closely with Film Society stakeholders narrowed the theme down to a cinematic and emotionally charged direction. The concept utilizes dramatic photography from the films, layers of transparent colors, and a series of hand drawn quotes written for each film image. The result is a design system that really highlights the breadth of films shown during the festival while drawing out the depth and emotion from the films. The system was applied to everything from SF bus shelters, special event invites, and festival program guides to the film trailer, print ads and website.

Des vernis, des vernis, et des vernis. Eat Drink Chic » Archives. The cold weather is well and truly settling in and I'm getting very 'nesty' again.

Eat Drink Chic » Archives

In the evenings, I've found myself adopting all those Wintertime clichés - reading a good book (or flicking through mags) curled up on the sofa under a blanket... candlelight softly flickering in my peripheral vision... dog curled up at my feet. Well, there's nothing like the classics, right? As a result, I've become increasingly obsessed with scented candles.

Yes, I'm one of 'those' people now.
