I wrote the other day about a project I was really excited about but needed to finish up, and here it is! These were gifts for a triple baby shower (not triplets, but three lovely ladies all due within a few weeks of each other, although triplets would be exciting) that I attended yesterday.

All three babies-to-be got sweet goodies from my shop (a bear hat for the little boy and button beanies for the girls) but I wanted to do something for the moms, too. It's so fun to open presents for your little nugget, but poor pregnant mom is the one doing all the hard work, and she deserves something, too! So I thought back to my final weeks of pregnancy--huge, bloated, swollen, miserable weeks--and thought of what I would have liked to have then (other than an early, pain-free labor . . . much as I wish I could bottle that up to gift to my friends) and came up with this: Mamas need some pampering, right? How true it is. And want to know the best part of this gift? (Don't tell my friends.) - brush. Infinity Accent Ring | Jewlr. Homemade "Vicks Vapor shower disks"

Have you seen the commercials for the Vicks Vapor shower disk thingies? You put one of these disks in your shower, and voila thanks to the vapors in it, you're magically healed, your cold is gone, and your face is shockingly free of snot. I always used to watch the "Noxema girl" splashing water on her face and wondered how she was able to wash her face without being completely overrun with boogers. I'm the only one? Yes? Ok, moving along then... Regardless, Vicks makes these things and I'm sure they're super expensive for something that is just going to wash down your drain. You know where I'm going with this, right? Yep. I made them myself. The idea started a few weeks ago when my sweet little nephew Parker came down with Croup for like the 1,438th time.

And they couldn't be any simpler. Push Up, Push Off - Top 10 Moves to Tone Your Trouble Zones - Shape Magazine - Page 8. This move will have your whole body working, so you'll not only hit your chest, but your arms and abs too. How to do it: Start in a plank position (or modified pushup position) and lower your body toward the floor. As you press back up, push off your right arm and lift your hand all the way off the floor (your arm stays extended and your right shoulder rolls back slightly to lift your arm). That's one rep. Quickly place your right hand back on the floor and repeat, this time lifting with the left arm.

Tape trick-for perfect winged liner. Happy Monday to ya….hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!!!

A few posts ago, I made reference to something I call “the tape method” and I said that I would do a follow up showing how to do it. Well…it is super easy and I probably just could have easily explained it using my words–but who doesn’t like pictures to go with? This is simply going to show you another way to apply winged liner if you have a difficult time getting a “perfect” wing or if you don’t have steady hands. A few considerations: If you have sensitive skin, don’t put tape on it!

You can also do this by holding a business card or something with a hard edge up diagonally against your eye….I would have shown this instead of tape but it is a wee bit difficult to hold a business card up to your eye and photograph it at the same time :::only have so many hands:::. Products Used: Tape and Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”. Step 1: Step 2: Step 3: Remove the tape. And this: Blog | Erin Ashley - Part 2.

Posted on Friday, July 13, 2012 · 1 Comment I don’t know why I am saying “Summer” colors and acting like I don’t wear these in the fall….I do. In fact, I can’t think of many colors that I swear off according to season….but for the sake of a title, these are great colors for Summer! Essie’s “Splash of Grenadine” is my all time favorite color (my favorite WAS “Bermuda Shorts”… and I stocked up on it as long as I could but it was a limited edition color so we had to say goodbye) Anyway….it’s that color that we all have that we don’t know what we would do if it were to be discontinued….I would be heartbroken. It is such a lovely, girlie, romantic pink without being a jarring pink (you know the ones I’m talking about) and I get tooooons of compliments on it. Pretty right?

It kind of has juuuuust a bit of purple mixed in to make it such a unique pink. Kind of funky right? Leave A Comment Read Comments ( 1 ) Subscribe! DIY Skin Smoother for Silky Soft Legs. How to: paint Mario Mushroom nail art. 5 minutes nail polish removal tutorial. Disclaimer: I am definitely recommending this method. I do not claim this as my own. I learnt it from Deborah Lippmann so I'll recognise her as the original source. However, the true origin of this amazing 5 minutes method is yet to be discovered.

Nail polishes are terrific when you don't need to remove them. One bright and sunny day, I was browsing through my favourite nail blog (because I have no life), I came across a Youtube clip of Deborah Lippmann showing her quick and easy way of removing nail polish. Step one. Now grab your ball. It should come apart easily as the ball itself is produced by ravelling a strip like a snail shell. Split your strip down the middle vertically into 2 strips. You can continue to split but I like mine with a little bulk. Keep tearing until you have a lot. Now you have the cotton pieces ready. Nice and smelly.

Press the wet CP onto your nail gently. Do the same for all the other fingers. Leave them on your nails for 1-2 minutes, give or take. Perfect Polish Every Time! Let's talk toes. And eyes. Funny how the two effect one another. My aging eyes are making it hard to paint my toenails. (Really it's just a logistic problem. If I could get the two closer together, I'd be set.) I've been using this trick for awhile and thought I'd share. All that's standing between your old eyes and Perfect Polish is a cuticle stick, a Q-Tip, and greasy lotion. Put some lotion onto a Q-Tip Wipe it around your nail, being careful to not get it ON your nail. Use the cuticle stick to wipe away the extra. That's all it takes! Hope this little trick helps! I'm linking up to these parties this week!
