http://www.demilked.com/ If you think you have nothing to hide, try living in this transparent house located in Tokyo, Japan. Known as "House NA", it offers plenty of daylight, however no privacy. To help boost the weak sales of Japanese nori manufacturer that was affected by the 2011 tsunami, I&S BBDO, a Japanese ad agency, developed a series of intricately laser-cut seaweed. Denmark-based photographer and cellist Nikolaj Lund decided to reinvent the portraiture of classical musicians by taking the subjects out of their natural environment - the orchestra pit - and asking them do strange poses in places like streets, oceans and deserts. The results are beyond amazing! Inspired by the colors of popular social media websites, Italy-based graphic designer Lumen Bigott created a unique line of Social Media shoes.

Ok so I love minimalism and I love Legos. Faithful readers of CMYBacon have probably figured that out by now. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m in love with this new ad campaign for Lego created by Jung von Matt . Using very few bricks, they were able to recreate minimalist versions of characters from popular cartoons like The Simpsons, South Park and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Seriously, how cool is that?! As many of you may know, I regularly write for the blog ManMade . http://www.cmybacon.com/

http://designyoutrust.com/ Street art is an urban way to express your feelings and escape from the isolation that modern cities put you in. Wake creates a melancholic wall, we just have to listen to the music. Open your mind. Feel free. This little creature, a real dark figure is not just a pianist, is an artist, denied to share his art. We have to go deeper and deeper in order to discover the culture.

With close to a decade of experience in web design, I have come across plenty of mistaken beliefs about the latest design tools and technologies; but nothing beats the misconceptions surrounding the use of HTML 5. As developers, we have our own set of misguided beliefs about a certain technology, but as we begin to use that technology we are able to understand what it is all about, its usage, and its scope. Inspired by certain HTML5 requirements that I have come across through the course of time, I wanted to add my two cents to clear the air on certain aspects of HTML5. Most of the misconceptions surrounding HTML5 are because many people think it’s a replacement for Flash. At the outset, I would like to make it clear that this is not an HTML5 vs.

“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.” - Karen Ravn "There’s no competitive advantage today in knowing more than the person next to you. The world doesn’t care. The world cares about what you can do with what you know – do you have the skill, do you have the will." Harvard’s Tony Wagner , author of Creating Innovators: The Making of Young People Who Will Change the World , speaking at Skillshare’s Penny 2012 conference . Wagner’s insights echo John Seely Brown’s in the excellent A New Culture of Learning: Cultivating the Imagination for a World of Constant Change , as well as Sir Ken Robinson’s vision for changing educational paradigms to better foster creativity.
