Diana Rendina of Renovated Learning, defines a Makerspace as “a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials’’.

In the past, the library has been a place to get books and do research. Just like the rest of education, even the library is evolving. With the implementation of Makerspaces in many libraries, students are able to not only read in the library, they are able to experiment and explore. A Makerspace does not have to be an expensive, time-consuming endeavor. An educator can create a Makerspace with materials found in their own home.
This digital curation consists of resources for the classroom teacher or librarian to use to begin the journey of creating a Makerspace area in their school.
