Tissue Rosette Kissing Balls. *Update–Many of you have had questions about how to “twist” the paper.

Tissue Rosette Kissing Balls

I have made a quick video showing you how. You can find the video for how to make tissue flowers here: How to Make Tissue Flowers Video Thanks everyone for all your sweet comments about my last Valentine’s day project…the “Be Mine” Framed Art. I had some requests for a tutorial on how I made the tissue paper rosette decor balls {kissing balls}.

Many of you will remember that I have made these before and have them hanging in my daughter’s room. First off you will need a couple of rolls of tissue paper streamers. Start by cutting the paper into strips about 24 inches long. Now take your strip and start on one end and begin rolling it up between your fingers. After you have a few rolls, continue to roll it up but now twist the paper. Now just continue to roll and twist until you have reached the end of the strip. After you have a few rosettes made, start gluing {I used a glue gun} them onto a round styrofoam ball. P.S. This jewelry tree makes necklaces ART. Aryll of the sweet Nerf gun displays ALSO posted her elegant jewelry storage solution to the Offbeat Home Flickr group.

It took me a bit to understand how this all worked. You too? It's shiny silver tacks + long necklaces + a tree limb vinyl decal + ROCKING wall color = fantastique!. Dig it. Plus, you know, no tangled necklaces and no forgetting about necklaces at the bottom of a jewelry box. BANQUETTE4.jpg (400×517) Tutorial: How to Make a Pomander Flower Ball.

Southern Charm Mason Jar Chandelier

The design is a reflection of old-school Southern hospitality repositioned in a contemporary artistic framework. We began by drilling holes into the tops of each jar. Using the largest bit we had we drove it through the center of the lid. The lighting fixture has a detachable ring which is used for holding the lighting fixture to a lamp shade (or in this case the mason jar). After we had assembled our twelve jars we began attaching them to the Ikea utensil rack.

Once all of the jars were placed we began hardwiring all of the lights together. Ta-da! Garage Sale Frame = My favorite piece of ART !

I sneak downstairs–make some coffee, grab a granola bar and the paper and hit the streets—looking for garage sales. I LOVE it! I LOVE to find something for nothing! Makes my day! What’s your guess??? So I had an idea in mind to use the frame and these sticks from another goodwill trip… I layed the sticks out on some news paper in the garage and I spray painted them black. Then I took the frame….sprayed a grey primer on because it was gold.. After that dried I sprayed a nickle finish spray paint on the frame. What did we do before spray paint???!?! When the frame was dry…I flipped it over…then I took all those sticks that I painted black. Then I got out some clippers and my trusty staple gun…hubby actually gave me the clippers…I was ready to pull out the miter saw. I trimmed the sticks so they lined up with the edge of the frame. And then…are you ready for it?!?! I love this little glowing birdhouse. (via...
