Pesticide Training Course Database. Overview This database is hosted by the Pesticide Sales and Use Reporting Group for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. In New York State, certified pesticide applicators must be recertified in each pesticide category or subcategory every three years. Recertification can be achieved by accumulating the number of continuing education credits required for each category/subcategory. Continuing education credits must consist of at least 25 percent category-specific training for each category of certification. It is the responsibility of each certified commercial pesticide applicator to find and attend recertification courses to obtain continuing education credits. The Pesticide Training Course Database is a “warehouse” for pesticide applicator courses. Information related to Certification Categories and Credit Requirements is available at the DEC web site.
