Tutoriel Application PhoneGap / Apache Cordova - Agence Web Folcomedia

My Workflow for Developing PhoneGap Applications. I am asked all the time “How do I get started developing PhoneGap applications?”.

My Workflow for Developing PhoneGap Applications

My normal answer is to advise people to check out the PhoneGap Getting Started Guides, which provide a great starting point for every platform. However after further thought, I’m not sure this is always what people are asking. Rather than “how do I get started?” , I think people are often looking for insight into the workflow for developing PhoneGap applications. Earlier this week I blogged about the relaunch of Ripple, a great tool for building your mobile applications with Chrome.

Using Grunt to automatically build your PhoneGap/Cordova projects

One of the issues with the new version of Ripple is that when you edit your code, you have to run "cordova prepare" to copy the assets into your platform before you can view it in the browser. You can get around this by just directly editing the code in your platform directory, but by doing so you run the risk of accidentally blowing it away the next time you do a build with Cordova. PhoneGap Tips - Google API OAuth with PhoneGap's InAppBrowser. If your PhoneGap project requires access to one of Google’s APIs, the first challenge you’ll likely run into is how to handle the OAuth dance in a PhoneGap application.

PhoneGap Tips - Google API OAuth with PhoneGap's InAppBrowser

Google’s OAuth documentation seems to indicate OAuth 2.0 for installed applications fits the bill for a mobile application. The idea is to use an embedded web browser to show the OAuth consent page. If the user grants access, we can get the authorization code out of the embedded browser’s title property. We PhoneGap developers have InAppBrowser for embedded browsing, so this should be a piece of cake! If you want to follow along, head on over to the API console and create a new project. Now that the application is registered with Google, go ahead and create a new PhoneGap project. In the examples that follow, I’ll be using jQuery since it is fairly ubiquitous and it keeps the code terse.

At the rate at which the number of mobile devices is growing, it’s estimated that 5.1 billion people will be using mobile phones by 2017.
