How to Make Crayon Monogram. Meal Planning Organizer. Hi!

Meal Planning Organizer

First I want to say many thanks to Anna of Noodlehead for inviting me to participate in her 'Spice Up Your Kitchen' week. It's been a challenge to say the least to try to come up with something worthy of all the fabulous talent going on over there! I am an organization freak. I think that I enjoy the process more than the end result. Which is a good thing since nothing stays organized for long with 2 kids running around the house; my wild and inquisitive 2 year old daughter and my 29 year old man-child/husband, to be specific. The general idea is that there are seven pockets in this organizer that you could use to hold the recipe cards for all the meals (or just dinners if you are like me) you plan to cook for the week.

Terms of use: Personal use only! Confetti Invitations + Template. Mar 14 I made this prototype for a couple who needed save-the-dates for a wedding.

Confetti Invitations + Template

We ended up doing something else but these turned out so cute I thought I would do a tutorial on how to make them. These little tubes shoot a little burst of confetti when you twist them. The problem is they are usually ugly and the confetti inside them is usually poor quality (like five little sad strands.) So what we did here is strip the label, disassemble the spring mechanism. We were going to do these as save-the-dates but they would work great as party invitations for any event. Make-up Magnet Board. We all know with craft blogs that original ideas are often hard to come by, we find ideas we love and make them our own but we didn't come up with the idea ourselves.

I feel like I've finally done something original here and I'm excited about it. I'll show you the finished product and then explain. Behold my Make-up Magnet Board. How to make a dreamcatcher. For the native americans, the dream catcher is a handmade object based on a willow hoop, on which is woven a loose net or web.

The dreamcatcher is then decorated with personal and sacred items such as feathers and beads. Hung above the bed, is used as a charm to protect sleeping people from nightmares. (by Wikipedia)Have you ever wanted to make your personal dreamcatcher, but the netting work scared you? Easy peasy envelopes... Making envelopes is a very satisfying and surprisingly quick and easy project.

easy peasy envelopes...

With all the bills through our letter boxes, it would definitely brighten our day to receive a pretty/colourful home-made envelope instead. We have made the ones we photographed today in two different styles - plain card on the outside with a patterned paper insert or patterned on the outside with a plain insert. The latter could do with a plain sticker for the address to keep the post office happy.

The instructions are very basic. There are downloadable patterns on the internet, however we simply opened up an existing envelope and traced the pattern on to our card and paper.
