You should find which gowns are proper for SCA, Renaissance Faires, and other events. Since we are asked quite often, I will add here that any of these styles are wonderful for a renaissance wedding gown, a Lady would simply pick the style that best suits her.

Elizabethan renaissance gowns were almost always worn with detachable sleeves. The underskirts were usally made of fine fabrics and often elaborately embroidered and bejeweled. However it was usual to only have the expensive fabrics as a fore-panel and the rest of the fabric that did not show was faked by using a less expensive fabric. Often the sleeves and fore-panel coordinated but they were not necessary made of identical fabrics or trims. We greatly enjoy our work. When making a gown we consider the client and their needs. Mr Pearl: CoutureLab World. In Memory of a Dear Friend When I started CoutureLab in 2006, I launched with L’Wren Scott’s very first couture collection, Little Black Dress.

My site was not actually ready, but L’Wren worked so hard on it that we pushed ahead of schedule to have it up and working within 48 hours with only her collection, and from then on we shared a parallel journey. In one day, we had a waiting list of more than 150 people wanting a bespoke dress from her. From that moment, L’Wren was dedicated to a quest of making each woman she knew feel elegant, feminine and proud of their bodies. This was despite curves, age, and whatever perceived imperfections existed, in a world that makes impossible demands on us as women. She also understood the power of “individuality”. I will always wear her dresses and feel “beautifully imperfect”, in her memory. The CoutureLab Journey I founded CoutureLab in 2006 as a laboratory of ideas. This laboratory of ideas naturally evolved into a holding company.
