The amsterdam music theater (campaign) my new poster series for the ‘Het Muziektheater Amsterdam’ – Amsterdam Music Theater, based on an identity (and custom font) designed last year by local design agency ‘koeweiden postma’. I was asked to make a new campaign style using the existing elements (a tough gig this one) and i chose to go for maximum impact and strong branding, which i felt they needed. Mainly accentuating the two identity colours (red & black) and cleaning up the hierarchy of the typography and information. The two main topics are ballet and opera productions. Dutch national ballet, recent posters (late summer 2010) Me studio » work. ‘cinéma arabe’ film festival ’11 – identity & campaign festival image, posters, flyers, invites, festival brochure & program, website, promo titles and various other items dutch national ballet – recent posters, spring ’11 these two posters were made in collaboration with still-life photographer ‘bart oomes’, a first for me: no dancers pictured… the image below was shot by ‘erwin olaf’ the upper image was shot by ‘erwin olaf’ the first in a whole series using black & white with gold for the coming season 2011-2012 which we are currently working on (may 2011), more new images form this series will be posted in the near future, the lower poster image for ‘sylvia’ was made in collaboration with ‘ingrid baars’ ‘boring’ illustration an illustration made with steel pins and foam board, the chosen quote (from dylan thomas) was the starting point for the laborious and spontaneous process involved… see also these two related posts.
