12 Rules for Being a Human Being
Throughout last couple of years I’ve been collecting my personal favorite quotations from various inspirational people in my Evernote. As a result I got quite a long list of sayings which I personally consider to be one of the smartest, wittiest, daring and positive at the same time. Moscow, 2008.
Wisdom In Few Words
Here’s the scoop: I have a set of really cool quotes for you this week, all allegedly authored by a guy named Jackson Kiddard who died in 1901. I give you this caveat because while Kiddard is referenced quite often by fellow blogger Mastin Kipp at The Daily Love , thedailylove.com, as an author and polymath, the only other information I can find about Kiddard is he is a French entrepreneur turned philosopher turned yogi. The former journalist in me quakes a bit at attribution without substantiation, but what the hell, I like the quotes. Please enjoy and comment if you feel inclined. Have a great week! B Well,

Booooooom was launched in 2008 by Vancouver-based artist Jeff Hamada, with the hope that it would foster a community of people excited to go out and be creative. It has quickly become one of the largest blogs on the internet, with 3 million pageviews each month, and readers from all over the world. Incredibly, this is mainly the result of good old fashion word-of-mouth! So if you’ve told even one person about this place hold your hand up to the monitor and accept this high-five! Did you feel that? That was no regular high-five, that was the highest-five in the history of highs and fives.

Most psychologists will read this “Questionnaire” with Robert Cialdini, PhD. That may or may not be true, but according to Cialdini, that statement is powerfully persuasive because we tend to go along with our peers. Cialdini, who retired last year from a teaching and research position at Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz., is a renowned expert in the science of swaying. In his seminal book on the topic, “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion” (Quill, 1984), he went undercover to learn the tricks mastered by used-car dealers and Fortune 500 executives alike, bringing persuasion research to psychology’s forefront.

Hack Life-FIGHTING A WAR
Prefer to give gifts out of no obligation, on no occasion, and with deep knowledge of and compassion for the receiver. No book contains all wisdom. Remember to play and have fun. Live long, and die quick. Living involves suffering, but considerably less suffering if you understand that fact. If you do someone a favor unasked, do not demand a show of their gratitude— you may get it, but you will also earn their contempt.

StevePavlina.com Personal Development for Smart People podcast #14: Embracing Your Passion It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new podcast, so here’s a new one recorded by my wife, Erin (her first podcast was #10 on lucid dreaming ). One of the things I love most about my marriage is that I get to participate in the unfolding of Erin’s life path as well as my own. Since the beginning of the year, she’s made the most enormous quantum leaps forward I’ve seen in the 12+ years I’ve known her.
