Romantic Ruffled Bracelet. With Valentine’s Day around the corner I decided I needed some new jewelry. Yes. It’s a weak excuse but I’m using it. :) I wanted something that was girly and romantic, but something that could be worn year round. I love the combination of cream, tan, and white together and it’s been a while since I’ve made a bracelet. - here is what I came up with. I found the inspiration for this bracelet at Ann Taylor Loft and their Stretch Corsage Bracelet. Mine has raw edges and is a little more casual – cotton, linen and pearls rather than satin and rhinestones.

Awww. Ready for a tutorial? Here’s what you’ll need. • fabric for bracelet – 2 1/4″ x 36″ piece • fabric or ribbon for flower portion • beads or pearls and small piece of chain • 27″ of 3/8″ elastic • snaps Start with your pieces for the bracelet. Cut 2 strips 18″ long out of the strip you just tore. Lay your strips together and sew a seam 1/4″ away from each raw edge. Sew two more seams 5/8″ away from the outside seams. Hammer the snap in place. Anthro Weights and Measures Bracelet.

I mentioned last week in the Anthro Astrid Coin Purse post that I have been enjoying Anthro’s new fall additions. They have some really sweet stuff. They also have some odd stuff – but that’s what I love about Anthro. You can find a gorgeous pearl and linen bracelet, and a few clicks away stumble across a ceramic candle holder of woodland animals stacked up on top of each other. There is a large part of me that wants to recreate this – just to do it. To say that I made a stacked woodland animal candle holder and saved myself $698 ($698 – seriously?!?).

I think a Rabbit-Riding-A-Sheep-Riding-A-Deer-With-Another-Deer-Riding-Along-Behind-Wearing-Candle-Holders-On-Their-Heads-Thing would be a fabulous addition to my mantle. We’ll see. But before we get too distracted by the Rustic Romp Taper Holder (Yes. Here is my version . . . And here is Anthro’s! Isn’t it great?? Here’s what you’ll need to make your very own. Begin by cutting out the fabric for the bracelet. Isn’t it fun? And who knows? Resin Bangle Crafts. Stamped Resin Bangle for CraftsUnleashed.com So, my “Stamped Resin Bangles” went up on CraftsUnleashed.com yesterday, and I was pretty pleased with the results. It’s a stamped-and-painted paper strip that’s then decoupaged into the resin form that comes from ConsumerCrafts.com. (See the full tutorial HERE.) Of course, when you are designing crafts for an international craft-supply company, you use only what they carry, right? However, after I created the craft using their products, I started rummaging around my studio for other ways to trick out these bangles.

I pulled out some Magenta “Peel Offs” stickers, some origami paper, and some Precious Metals Paints by Viva Decor and come up with another version . I found that true origami paper- the stuff with the high linen content- takes very well to the Mod Podge. Bangles made with Origami Paper I am totally in love with the black Magenta Paisley stickers, so I used them in this duo- a ring AND a bangle! Wooden Circle Bracelet.
