Back from an unintentional two-week break with some news: First, we celebrated my birthday this weekend! It was wonderful. Second – and this explains my extended absence – I did the unthinkable and got a perm. Or more accurately a body wave, but in case you were wondering neither the process nor the chemicals have changed (much) since the perm heyday of the 1980s; what differentiates one from the other is simply the size of the rods your salon uses. Mine alternated between the biggest and second-biggest, and the results are pure beachy wave goodness.
