I mean how is an overly wealthy pop musician supposed to know when they are on the cusp of super-stardom any more if just anyone can parody/cover their most famous hit? Well, I'm guessing that knowledge would come in the form of Chinese people choiring it up on a Communist television. When middle-aged people are pushed on stage in what looks like Barbie's dream house to sing your song, then you know you've truly made it.
