As soon as I read that email, I wished I were Pierre Hermé. He’d know exactly what to do. Who am I to create anything for D&G? Right after I picked my self-confidence up off the floor, I visited their website for inspiration and came across the Fall/Winter 2011 runway show. Now, I do not know much about fashion. Because if it is good enough for Nick, it is good enough for everyone. What I saw on the runway was quite seductive, but so wisely (and tastefully, of course) camouflaged with transparent fabric. I thought, wouldn’t a chocolate lace decoration be perfect? Me? The first one turned out horrible. There’s no possible way to keep the chocolate in the piping bag fluid for longer than 10 minutes.

Black and White Cupcakes  I have lamented before that I don’t often bake cupcakes.

Black and White Cupcakes

In fact, I don’t really make many things that require frosting. I can usually persuade Quinn to do any frosting that’s needed, because apparently he enjoys that kind of thing. I do like to be self-sufficient, however, so I tend to seek out recipes that don’t require frosting. I was recently looking through my copy of Buttercup Bakes at Home looking for a specific recipe when I saw this recipe for an un-frosted cupcake. Besides the lack of frosting, these cupcakes have a couple of really good things going for them: chocolate and cream cheese. I like these so much. I would like to emphasize the use of the miniature chocolate chips for these cupcakes. Ingredients Instructions Preheat oven to 350°. Beat cream cheese, egg, and 1/3 cup sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes). In a large bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Cool in pans for 10 minutes.

No Bake Oreo Truffles

I have been making these Oreo Truffles since Derek and I first got married. They are SO EASY to whip up for a party or get together with friends or just to make a husband happy! (My husband’s favorite thing is Oreos) I made a batch of these for him to take to work earlier this week. The best part about this recipe…It only has 3 INGREDIENTS! No Bake Oreo Truffles Only 3 ingredients and they are delicious! Ingredients 1 package Double Stuffed Oreos 4 oz Cream Cheese, you may add up to 8 oz, I just like the consistency best with 4 oz.

Instructions Chop Oreos up finely in a food processor. Enjoy! For those that were wondering what kind of chocolate I used, here is a picture of mine. Favorite Recipes / Brownie Cheesecake. Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes. I may spend the majority of my time in the kitchen figuring out how to pack lots of vegetables, whole grains, and legumes into a simple yet flavorful dinner, but I can’t pretend that packaged food never makes an appearance in our house.

Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes

There’s just something about Oreos I can’t resist, even though I know they’re full of junk. I swear I’m not trying to make all the cupcakes out of Martha Stewart’s Cupcakes, but lately every recipe that’s jumped out at me as I scroll through dozens of food blogs happens to be from that book. These are awesome, and if you’re at all hesitant about making cheesecakes this is a great place to start, because you get all the good qualities of a cheesecake without having to worry about cracking or water baths or springform pans. They’re easy to put together, and the hardest part is definitely waiting the four hours they need to chill (but you can speed that up by putting them in the freezer for some of the time).

Ingredients Instructions Preheat oven to 275 F. Recipes / Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Recipes / French Silk Pie...... made this one before and its delicious.
