So in an effort to declutter and get a little things organized before we decorate for the holidays I decided to take these ugly things and make brand new layered candles. This was such an easy project to do.

Family Birthday Chart
Before Christmas, some friends and I made some of these family birthday charts for our mom's. We got the idea from Pinterest of course :-) Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the one's I made before I gave them to my mom and mother in law. Time for my first official DIY post ever. Let me start off by saying I do not consider myself to be a crafty person, though I aspire to be one, ha. I have a mom who can do about anything crafty there is to do. Growing up, she managed a fabrics and crafts store, taught craft classes, sewed tons of our outfits, fixes band suits in high school, took in and hemmed prom dresses, etc etc.
We all know with craft blogs that original ideas are often hard to come by, we find ideas we love and make them our own but we didn't come up with the idea ourselves. I feel like I've finally done something original here and I'm excited about it. I'll show you the finished product and then explain.
