It serves as the main base of operation for the Twilight Hammer. The leader of the cult, Cho'gall himself, is the last boss encounter in this raid, but players that have defeated Cho'gall on heroic can unlock Sinestra. The entire plane was crafted by the Titans during the early days of Azeroth and it serves as a prison for the planet's native elementals as well as their ruler, Ragnaros the Firelord. The raid instance, introduced in patch 4.2, is located on one of the many rocky islands swimming on the sea of endless magma. Players will fight Ragnaros' trusted lieutenants before facing the Firelord himself. It has many parallels to Molten Core both in design, reputation, loot, and NPCs. Blackwing Descent is a raid designed after Blackwing Lair, with its final boss none other but Nefarian himself--resurrected by his father, Deathwing. It is created to serve as an continuation of the story in Blackwing Lair. The raid features a layout similar to its prototype, but with brand new bosses--except for Nefarian, of course.
