I draw and draw… and draw.

Philippe Debongnie – digital collage with a human touch

A drawing of my five favorite Italian restaurants in Brussels. I also created a map pointing to all the places I talked about in all six maps I made up to now. Nate and Salli who are running the TDAC blog were so thrilled with this series they made a special post with all of them. The last map can be found here. Family Album – an update Still working on my “Family Album” series.

And last but not least, I am in the process of framing prints of them to be able to put up an exhibition of the whole series. Jazz portraits Over the last few days, I managed to drop my “Family Album” series to go back to painting with ink and brushes. Family Album, still working at it I have not posted for some time now, I must admit I have been fairly busy with my teaching and with this series of animal portraits I am still working on. You can see (and buy) the whole series here. Exhibition and workspace. Margaux Motin. Portfolio > Marjolaine Leray. Marc Antoine Mathieu : Le dessin. Jack Kirby. Jack Kirby (/ˈkɜːrbi/; August 28, 1917 – February 6, 1994),[5] born Jacob Kurtzberg, was an American comic book artist, writer, and editor widely regarded as one of the medium's major innovators and one of its most prolific and influential creators.

Jack Kirby

Kirby grew up poor in New York City, and learned to draw cartoon figures by tracing characters from comic strips and editorial cartoons. He entered the nascent comics industry in the 1930s, drawing various comics features under different pen names, including Jack Curtiss, before ultimately settling on Jack Kirby. In 1940, he and writer-editor Joe Simon created the highly successful superhero character Captain America for Timely Comics, predecessor of Marvel Comics. During the 1940s, Kirby, generally teamed with Simon, created numerous characters for that company and for National Comics Publications, later to become DC Comics. Kirby was married to Rosalind "Roz" Goldstein in 1942. Life and career[edit] Early life (1917–1935)[edit] Legacy[edit]
