Double Dark Chocolate Cookies – The Healthy Version! Remember how I said, not too long ago, that I had an incredible irresistible craving for one of these decadent cookies, right here?
Now of course, making the original version was completely out of the question, ESPECIALLY during Lent. But I had to have one at all costs. Recreating them was going to be quite the challenge! I mean, really… baking an exceptionally decadent cookie, using no butter, no sugar, and no flour? Whoa! Well, last year, I would’ve been the first one to say: “No way. But now, well, I have to admit that I completely changed my tune. Not only that, but the resulting cookie has a texture that is soft but dense and chewy and a taste that is incredibly intense, sweet and satisfying.
Don’t believe me? Not only did I recreate this decadent cookie, I made it even BETTER! Alright, I admit… It does not look AS pretty as the original, but seriously, its texture and flavor are simply out of this world. Hey, even my coworkers said so. Almost reluctantly, I let them have a taste. Oh! Chocolate Chip Lava Cookies.
I am so in love with these darn chocolate lava cookies!
What is it about a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie stuffed with decadent, rich, melted chocolate that makes it so irresistible?? Especially when topped with vanilla ice cream. These are one of Kev’s favorite homemade treats, and he usually asks me to make them at least once a week. They are so simple to whip up, and such a treat! Let’s make some right now :) All you really need for these fabulous cookies is your favorite cookie dough and a bag of chocolate chips. Since these cookies are absolutely gushing with delicious rich chocolate, my favorite chocolate chips for this recipe are the Hersey’s Milk Chocolate chips. Now let’s make some chocolate lava cookies! Place the flattened cookie dough in the bottom of a well-greased standard sized muffin tin. Now for our gooey, rich milk chocolate filling. Lay the Ziploc bag flat in the microwave, spreading out the chocolate chips in a single layer.
Heaven help me. Mama mia. 1. 2. 3. Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies (tastes just like an Orange Milano, but better!) These are officially my new favorite cookie!
They are one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten! These taste just like a Pepperidge Farm Orange Milano Cookie, but I think they are even better because they have all the flavors of that cookie but these are soft and chewy rather than crisp and crunchy. I’ve been changing up flavors to all my favorite classics lately like Rice Krispie Treats and Oatmeal, so I decided it was time for a change with the Chocolate Chip Cookie. So, I came up with this recipe. I don’t know if there could be a better upgrade. Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies (tastes just like an Orange Milano, but better!)
