Happy New Year! For the last five years, I've been traveling the world full-time, and for less money than I've ever spent (and I'd wager less money than most people would spend) to live in one place. My worldly possessions fit into one bag (just larger than carry-on size) and a backpack containing my laptop and computer gear. http://www.wisebread.com/how-to-travel-full-time-for-17000-a-year-or-less

Practical Tips from Four Years of Worldwide Travel | Legal Nomads

http://www.legalnomads.com/2012/04/tips-world-travel.html As promised in my last post about homesickness and long-term travel , I wanted to publish a follow up about the more practical side of my time on the road. I started out having no idea if I had packed the right things in my bag, worried about losing my passport (I tend to be slightly scatterbrained on the best of days) and curious if I’d last the full year around the world. 4 years later, I’m still moving – though I’m doing so quite a bit differently than when I first started out.
My problem is that I start working on a project, finish chapter one, and decide I'm not happy with it. So I revise it, and then I revise it again, and again, and again, and then I rewrite it, and revise it, and so on, ad infinitum. I have ten novel projects all stuck at chapter one and a short story series stuck at the first story. http://io9.com/5844988/the-10-types-of-writers-block-and-how-to-overcome-them

Katherine Hooker on Dressing Kate Middleton, Feeling Untroubled by Knockoffs, Royal Ascot Dressing, and More -- The Cut

Katherine Hooker 's outerwear label began in 2003, after she decided to replicate a coat she had bought in Israel. "I bought a young boy's Hasidic coat in a junk shop," she says. "And it was an old one, like when clothes used to be made for people as opposed to mass market. I was 18 and tiny and skinny, and it fit me absolutely perfectly; it was made for a 14-year-old boy or something."
