Top 20 Coral Projects and Ideas for any Home

Why am I doing a post on the top 20 coral projects when coral is such a spring and summer color and summer is almost over. Because I think that coral is a versatile color that can be used year round. It works great with other light and pastel colors, but pair it with navy or emerald, and it still works. And may just knock your socks off. That’s just my two cents. But do check out these awesome projects and ideas for coral inspiration. DIY Decorative Storage Containers {Trash to Treasure} The Trash to Treasure gals are back today for another fun installment!

DIY Decorative Storage Containers {Trash to Treasure}

From now on, we are going to be doing Trash to Treasure on the second Friday of every month, instead of the first. You may have seen these decorative storage containers peeking around the corner of one of the blue chests in the newly made over guest bedroom and office. I actually did these a few months back when I first started working on the guest bedroom and office.

I knew I would need somewhere to store my files and office supplies in the new office space. Downstairs, I had kinda just thrown them into a big box. *hangs her head in shame* I took three sturdy boxes that I had lying around and wrapped them in pretty wrapping paper. The top one is a perfume box and the bottom two were gift boxes I had gotten at Christmas. They are the perfect solution to hiding all the receipts, extra staples, paperclips, and bills stylishly. Got any perfume or gift boxes lying around that you can turn into pretty storage containers? Easy Painted Basket in less than 30 minutes. I have been dying, no really, I mean dying for a fiddle leaf fig.

Easy Painted Basket in less than 30 minutes

For a long time. When I finally found one in town, it was $150. It was a huge fiddle leaf fig, but really I can’t pay $150 for something I might potentially kill. Ya feel me? And then I found one at Home Depot for $17. When I got it, I realized it needed a prettier home than just its black plastic run-of-the-mill pot. It needed a painted basket for a home. Supplies: Basket of your choice (mine was purchased on clearance at Target, but scour thrift stores for one – you may even already have one!) Paint of your choice (I used a couple of Home Depot’s current color trends) FrogTape* Small paint brush (like one you would use for acrylic paints) Step 1: Tape off where you want your stripes to be on the basket. DIY Sunglasses Holder for $5. We have an Aunt Rochelle.

I hope you have an Aunt Rochelle too. You see, Aunt Rochelles always send the good stuff. It is not uncommon for multiple packages (sporting color coordinated designs & patterns) to arrive on the front porch anytime of the year. It may be Christmas. Or it may not. It may be a birthday. Said packages will contain not one, not two, but multiple ensembles for the circus. Each ensemble is complete with a top, pants, cardigan, usually a skirt, socks, matching beret, and my favorite – matching sunglasses. And during the summer she gets multiple swimsuits with matching cover-ups, hats, and sunglasses. The kid has Jackie O sunglasses, pink sunglasses, movie star sunglasses, Iris Apfel sunglasses, floral print sunglasses, checked sunglasses. If she has an outfit from Aunt Rochelle, then she has the matching sunglasses. See why we love our Aunt Rochelle? We also love her because she’s just a load of fun too. No, no, no, no, no – sunglasses like this should be displayed.
