This is Megan from Homemade Ginger and I'm so thrilled and honored to be a contributor for Mod Podge Rocks. I have a really fun and playful DIY canvas art project to share with you all today. This is perfect for a nursery or kid's room and would also be a great gift idea! All the materials to make these mini animal canvases were very inexpensive and I absolutely love how my animal canvases turned out. Materials: Make an easy decoupage magazine holder. I found this sad little piece of key art, broken and golden, at Hobby Lobby. Her project? She turned an old TV tray into a small DIY craft table using some pretty fabric, which is a great idea if you are limited on space (like I was in Mod Podge Command Central). My favorite project ever was refurbished wall art, and I'm always looking for additional and interesting ways to decorate canvases – of course, with Mod Podge. This entire herringbone canvas project started with the word “hello.” I picked it up at the Queen Bee Market at SNAP, knowing that at some point I would turn it into wall art.

I'm not just some weird hoarder – I had a purpose. My goal was to recycle these items in a Mod Podge project. I thought, if everyone else can use these items for crafts, I can too. He did a great job of picking things out for me. So he might have been a little sad when I focused more on the cute wrapping paper that the goodies came in as opposed to the gifts themselves (which I loved, sweet cheeks!). And I can say this for a few reasons – she's a blogger I actually know in real life and have done things with; and also she did the design for my blog Washi Tape Crafts. Yep, she lives here in Atlanta. I'm lucky to have a great blogger/friend like her nearby! Are you a big fan of designer products, but don't necessarily have the budget? You aren't the only one. It's hard to find something that you love with all your heart and then realize it's way out of your price range. So how do you remedy the situation? Upcycle cardboard storage folders. The funny thing is that I don't do it. At least yet. My boyfriend has been a cyclist for over 30 years which is why it's such a huge part of my life. He was a professional in Europe for awhile and races as a master (45+ age) now, so I go to all of his races and we're always watching it on television. I even have ALL of the stuff to ride, but I haven't started – that is coming soon (yikes!).

How to revamp a $5 lamp. I've recently come to the conclusion that I need a desk in my apartment to work from. Sitting in my bed all day and working is great, but it doesn't help with staying awake or getting out of my pajamas. So I'm going to create a real work area . . . and I did a desk lamp revamp to go in it. This is my third project in my Brand Ambassador role for, and I'm so pleased with the results!
