I can’t help it though.They really are a fun and simple touch. And I have loved experimenting with all types. So hang in there…..I’m almost done purging all of these pillow ideas. Almost. Fabric Wall Hangings. We have a big space above our entertainment center.
And a fairly tall ceiling. So I came up with a solution to fill up all of that plain ‘ol wall. (No paint allowed……oh, the life of a renter.) (Ignore those empty picture frames……pictures are being printed.) Do you remember when I made some wall hangings a while ago? Gathered Curtains with Ties. I had to finish my bedroom.
Remember the pillows I made here, here, and here? Well, I had to splash more of that fabric by Amy Butler up on my windows. Some serious vibrance. All neatly gathered below a panel of floppy ties at the top. Decorate with Plates. I had a great idea to put plates on my wall……to finish off our bedroom.
So I bought three of them. In a nice and sassy cherry red, to place right above the headboard. While that project was stewing………I spray painted a picture frame cherry red, so that I could use my Bird Branch print from Fall Down Tree. The print was intended for my craft room… Well, or maybe the nursery… But the red on the frame was an exact match with my plates. So I quickly decided that the print was going to hang out in my room for a while.
Bathroom Decor. That bathroom needed more to brighten it up.
Those walls were painfully bare. And I was really diggin’ this fabric by Laura Gunn…..so I couldn’t help but use more of the collection. I attached this fabric panel along one end of each hand towel the same way I attached the fabric panel to the shower curtain. And I made a fabric wall hanging, the same way I made the wall hangings here. Covered cardboard storage boxes. Well, craft room stuff..
And it keeps growing and growing. So the time came to organize. And of course have a little fun with it. So…….I made these storage boxes completely out of old cardboard boxes covered with a little fabric on the front.. Craft Room, Part 2. Did you see Part 1 of my Craft Room?
