Last month I shared this Canvas Photo Transfer tutorial over at Lolly Jane (aren't those sisters cute?!)

, and today I'm sharing it here in case you missed it. This is such a fun tutorial for easy artwork using your personal images and a home printer! My baby girl turned one in February (of course, I shared all the "tweet" birthday details with you!) And I wanted to display one of the photos from her 1 year photo shoot. I remember seeing this tutorial on A Beautiful Mess awhile back, so I decided to give it a whirl. Basically, to create a canvas transfer, you take a printed copy of a photograph (see note at end of post!) To start this process, you'll need: gel medium (I used Liquitex- Matte Super Heavy Gel from Hobby Lobby- don't forget your 40% off coupon!) A home printed image on regular printer paper** **please note, the original image has my daughter facing the other way. 1) Gather your supplies, print a MIRROR image copy of your photograph and trim the border from that image.

Yesterday I shared my Mother's Day Mantel, which included the sweet silhouette of my daughter.

I've been wanting to do this for awhile and Mother's Day seemed like the perfect excuse. This truly is a quick and easy project! To start, I searched through 100s of pictures until I found a profile of my daughter (okay, that wasn't so quick!). If she hadn't been asleep for the night, I would have just snapped a picture of her profile and saved some time. What can I say? A couple weeks ago I shared my laundry room makeover with you and today I'm showing you an easy tutorial for the fabric-wrapped {Anthropologie inspired!}

H from my W-A-S-H gallery wall. And, apparently Anthro no longer sell their fabric letters, because I can't seem to find an original picture to show you. But, gracious me, I sure found a lot of other knockoffs. So, if you hate my tutorial, do a little google search and you're sure to find one to suit your fancy ;) Okay, let's get to it, shall we?? My letter was simple and without batting. 1) Start with a cardboard letter (I got my H from Hobby Lobby).

I love the way my 3-D letter looks on my gallery wall. To see all the fun details of my laundry room makeover, click here. Yep, I thought so too. (Like what you see? Follow 52 Mantels by Email Yep! Thursday are YOUR days. Friends, it is with some sadness I tell you that I've decided to retire our weekly link party.

Thursday are YOUR days

We've been doing this little party every week for awhile (years?) And I've always enjoyed being inspired by your talents. More than once, I've left here ready to tackle a new craft project, a yummy recipe or an exciting DIY. But, I'm finding it harder and harder to devote the time and attention that this party (and you!) Deserve. Maybe one day, when I have more time of my hands (ha!) Like what you see? I link up here and here! 52 Mantels.
