Open Access Week. Open Science Summit | October 22-23, 2011. Open Access in Berlin ! — Blogo-Numericus. Cette année la pkp confe­rence se déroule à la Freie Uni­ver­sität de Berlin Cette semaine, je suis à Ber­lin pour la ses­sion 2011 des Scho­larly Publi­shing Confe­rences orga­ni­sées par le Public Know­ledge Pro­ject. Le PKP est un consor­tium porté par l’Université Simon Fra­ser à Van­cou­ver au Canada, qui a pour objec­tif d’aider les com­mu­nau­tés scien­ti­fiques à dif­fu­ser leurs publi­ca­tions en libre accès. Ils ont déve­loppé toute une palette d’outils très simples d’utilisation, dis­tri­bués sous licence libre, comme Open Jour­nal Sys­tem (un CMS pour les revues scien­ti­fiques), Open Confe­rence Sys­tem (même chose, mais pour les col­loques), Lemon8 (un conver­tis­seur de docu­ments), et, tout récem­ment, Open Mono­graph Press, une chaîne de pro­duc­tion de livres élec­tro­niques pour les presses universitaires.

This ninth installment in the Berlin Open Access conference series, which convenes leaders in the science, humanities, research, funding, and policy communities around The Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities, will take place at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, MD, on November 9 & 10, 2011, with pre-conference meetings planned for November 8th, in Washington, DC.
