I’ve had read multiple articles on the system they are building for the intertwining of romances into the DA:3 system. Nothing is really clear on how they are actually handling it besides the fact that they stated multiple times that they went from an approval system (which at times did seem shallow) to a event driven system that more relates a relationship be it friendship or romantic interest, which they have also stated multiple times is the blurred line they wanted to make more clear, that is built on more of a shared experience with the character instead of gifts and making the right dialogue choices. Which in a way also limits the building of your own character into more of a “Who do I want to fuck this game” instead of a “How would I want my character to react”.
