‘Social mirror’ bridges online/offline shopping gap

OmniMirror is an interactive mirror that takes a shopper’s photograph while they’re in store then shares it on social networks. Friends and family can then comment on outfit choices or help the shopper choose between items, and the customer can use the service to locate different sizes and colours within the retailer’s online store. Developed by Australian digital signage company Five Faces, the OmniMirror is currently in place in Queensland’s Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.
