Giant Amigurumi Octopus!

They asked me to make a project from the catalog and this crochet octopus just looked way too awesome to pass up! If you’d like to make your own, you can find the free pattern right here! They encouraged me to add my own twist to the project so I made a few modifications. First of all, I used Caron Simply Soft (pagoda & passion) & Bernat Satin (aqua) rather than the yarns the pattern recommended. I have a few notes about the pattern to share: - The pattern calls for you to join at the end of rounds when making the head and I didn’t do that because I think it’s unnecessary and looks better without the seam. - This pattern actually makes a heptapus not an octopus, which means it only has seven legs. . - It’s designed to be assembled so that the bottom is wrong side out and this sort of thing drives me nuts.

Kingyo - oriental goldfish croche. Eu fiquei totalmente encantada em descobrir esse peixinho que sempre me encantou em um aquário que eu tive em casa a muitos anos atrás.

Free crochet Jellyfish pattern «

Thought I’d drop in and offer a free crochet pattern this week. I’ve been making these cute nautical creatures, and they’re just so fun that I wanted to share! I have been thinking of our dear friends in Japan and all of the turmoil that they are still enduring, and hope that you are all still sending thoughts and assistance their way as they try to begin to deal with the tragedy, and to move forward. Crocheted Jellyfish Materials: • worsted wt. yarn in two contrasting colors • U.S. size G crochet hook • needle for construction/sewing in ends • wind chimes, bells (optional) Cap (main body of fish) Notes: Cap is worked in continuous rounds without joining, so place marker where indicated and move with the work as you go.

Start with a main color, of your choice – Round 1: Using magic ring, sc 6 in ring, then place marker to indicate beginning of second round (and therefore the start of each consecutive round to follow). Tendrils (make two) Assembly Like this: Like Loading... For The Love of Yarn. Amigurumi Octopus.
