Next Previous Contents This page describes how to set up the various transports and to provide a UML instance with network access to the host, other machines on the local net, and the rest of the net. The TUN/TAP, ethertap, slip, and slirp transports allow a UML instance to exchange packets with the host. They may be directed to the host or the host may just act as a router to provide access to other physical or virtual machines. The pcap transport is a synthetic read-only interface, using the libpcap binary to collect packets from interfaces on the host and filter them.NIC Bonding On Debian Lenny | HowtoForge - Linux Howtos and Tuto
Ethernet bonding refers to aggregating multiple ethernet channels together to form a single channel. This is primarily used for redundancy in ethernet paths or for load balancing. This page refers in particular to performing ethernet bonding under Linux, and so does not limit itself to discussion of 802.3ad Trunk Aggregation. Round-robin policy: Transmit packets in sequential order from the first available slave through the last. This mode provides load balancing and fault tolerance.AcerOne - Debian Wiki
The DebianEeePC project also has documentation describing the installation of Debian on an Atom processor, the page you are reading however is devoted solely to the Acer Aspire One. You can boot and install using the debian-installer from Lenny (Debian stable, version 5.0) and the snapshot images without needing anything from the DebianEeePC project. the second generation 10 inch screen models (A250) include unsupported wired Ethernet adapters (is this still true, or which is not natively supported) — you will need to install using the wireless card, and if needed, compile the wired network module later on; the 11 inch screen models (AO751h) are partially supported in lenny: the wired driver works and can be used for the installation; although the installation will give you a working laptop, however many changes will be needed to get all hardware working (including the maximum 1366 x 768 resolution which is not supported by the lenny x.org).Modules and plugins
The HP ProLiant Support Pack for Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 ( "lenny" ) and Ubuntu 9.04 ("jaunty") are delivered in an apt-cdrom compatible CD-ROM image. To use it, burn the image to a CD and insert the CD into the target system. Remote users may prefer to use the iLO 2 virtual media feature to using a physical CD.

Cloning Linux Systems With CloneZilla Server Edition (CloneZilla
This tutorial shows how you can clone Linux systems with CloneZilla SE . This is useful for copying one Linux installation to multiple computers without losing much time, e.g. in a classroom, or also for creating an image-based backup of a system. I will install CloneZilla SE on a Debian Etch server in this tutorial. The systems that you want to clone can use whatever Linux distribution you prefer. The Debian server on which I want to install CloneZilla SE is in the local network 192.168.0.0 (netmask 255.255.255.0 ) and has the IP address 192.168.0.100 . First we import the GPG key of the DRBL (Diskless Remote Boot in Linux, needed to boot the client systems from the network (PXE) later on) and CloneZilla repository:This document describes the use of mondo and mindi tools to realize disaster recovery backup of your systems. It provides information on installation, backup and restore modes, hardware and software requirements, and answers to some frequently asked questions. Like many millions of people around the world, one of my favourite toys as a child was Lego. I spent countless hours engaged in imaginative play with it (I still do, just much, much less these days) and it looks like I have passed the genes. Last week, I played with my son when the similarity between Moodle and Lego struck me. They are not only both tough, light, modular, infinitely open-ended and very popular products worldwide but they also encourage the way of learning I am passionate about practicing and promoting – try, connect, observe, see patterns, share, watch, (re)construct, change and above all immerse yourself in learning and discovery. This little ‘epiphany’ and the desire to answer frequently answered question ‘What is Moodle?’ with a brief, to-the-point video drove me to spend the last few days playing with digital Lego and creating two clips, answering the question ‘What is Moodle?’
