Social Media Marketing. Back in 2008 I was invited by Dan Goldstein, Assistant Professor of Marketing at London Business School to be a guest lecturer for the MBA Internet Marketing course 2008/9 focusing on social media; more specifically the qualitative and quantitative findings of my social network marketing report. What really made me appreciate this opportunity is the latest Financial Times rankings whereby LBS is ranked as the number one business school in the world!
Admission is extremely selective and the Internet Marketing group is self selected by Dan personally. Already some long time ago I registered on Facebook but I somehow didn’t trust this site and moreover, I found it too much deviating from my business focus.
June last year a crack came in my wall of opposition since a student colleague of my London Business School executive innovation program “Proteus” forwarded the idea to keep in contact with all class members by means of Facebook. OK let’s do that we said, but after a month everyone could remark there was not really much activity on the forum. As a consequence to my positive FB decision I immediately updated the rest of my virtual networks, i.e. Like this: Like Loading... Stuff I love and hate. I want to shadow Steve Jobs.
