La ville de Nantes a récemment ouvert un certain nombre de données publiques dans le cadre d'une politique d'Open Data. Le but était, comme toujours, de permettre l'émergence de nouveaux services, réalisés par des tiers, au bénéfice de tous les citoyens. La ville et sa communauté urbaine ont alors lancé le concours « Rendez-moi la ville + facile ». Dans ce cadre, la SSII Ippon Technologies a développé une application mobile pour plate-forme Androïd, Nantes Mobi Parking. Comme beaucoup de projets basés sur des données ouvertes par des collectivités publiques, l'intérêt est ici de croiser ces données avec des données d'autres sources.
