Fruit Smoothies! Recipe. Green Smoothie Recipe. Yesterday when I shared my 2012 foodie goals with you, the one at the top of my list was getting more fresh fruit and leafy greens into my diet. I promised you a killer green smoothie recipe, and here it is! Given my aversion to vegetables, I had been giving the skeptical side-eye to green smoothies for the better part of a year before I finally caved in and tried one. I love smoothies and I love fruit, and (shockingly) I even like spinach (although it has to be raw, like in a salad – I hate it cooked), but I just never thought I would like it. Lemon juice water 1/4 cup sugar (can be omitted for infants) 1 Tbsp. orange zest (omit if making for baby until about age 1) 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (less if making for baby until about age 1) Peel, core, and quarter the apples. When apples are soft, remove and mash with a potato masher or, my implement of choice, an immersion/stick blender.

Have a taste–add more sugar or cinnamon if you are so inclined. Kimberly. Fruit Salsa with Cinnamon-Sugar Tortilla Chips. I am so excited to share this recipe with you today! It is May now but I’m not certain if summer will ever come. It has been cold and rainy all spring. Strawberries are probably my favorite fruit, so I used more strawberries in this recipe than anything else.
