"Closed circle" circlets are designed to rest atop the head, situated above the temple line and dipping slightly forward at the center front. They sit lower on the bust used for the photos because there is no hair to take up the space, and should be worn more like they are in the image below: "Open back with ribbons" circlets will be open at the back center of the piece, with silk ribbons attached for tying. Child-sized pieces will average between 16" and 18", and adult-sized headpieces will average between 18" and 20", depending on the design's pattern. If you need a larger piece to accommodate a bulkier hairstyle or fit at the temple line, be sure to order ther "adult plus" size, which will measure between 20-23".
