Submission Procedures for Short Fiction Instructions: All fiction must be submitted through our Moksha online submission system, located at lightspeedmagazine.com/submissions. Guidelines: Lightspeed is seeking original science fiction and fantasy stories. Format: Submissions should generally follow standard manuscript format, though we prefer single-spaced instead of double-spaced. Word Count: We are open to stories of 1500-10,000 words. Pay Rate: Lightspeed pays 8 cents per word for original fiction, or 2 cents per word for reprints.

Voluted Tales

The first special edition of Voluted Tales, entitled "The Darkness Internal" is hosted by guest editor Christopher Nadeau. Christopher is looking for the following submissions. “The Darkness Internal”- Looking for stories that are outside the norm. The Darkness Internal special issue will be published in roughly two to three months, so get those keyboards burning and send Christopher a small piece of your souls!

Voluted Tales Magazines publishes four monthly editions, roughly one each week of the month. As we are just relaunching in this new format after a year's break, we will begin with the General Edition only for the first month or two, and bring the others on line as things progress. Voluted Tales Magazines is looking for stories, comics/graphic short stories and artwork which cover the spectrum of science fiction and fantasy genres.
