Derailments - Deragliamenti (Preview) United Visual Artists Have Toronto Covered. Inkblot Media’s short film documentary Canopy + Connection probes the creative mindset of United Visual Artists, London’s innovative art and design agency whose area of expertise sits at the intersection between sculpture, architecture, live performance, moving image and digital installation.
Commissioned to create two separate art installations for Toronto’s Maple Leaf Square, UVA’s Matt Clark and Ben Kreuknie set out to offer a different world for people to fall into, forcing users to become aware of their impact on the environment through regenerative and interactive works that would evolve with the space over time. The end result stands as a rather good example of how modern design ethos converges perfectly with art focused town planning, bringing a space to life in a way passive works cannot.

The end result, a beautifully packaged box set of the film and companion soundtrack, will be released to backers of the project as a physical artifact of the unique and awe-inspiring experience. We can't wait to share the results with you. The project — anchored by internationally renowned photographers Tim Navis + Kim Høltermand and aided by film collective Scenic and composer Deru — will be unique in its improvisational spirit.
